Volunteering…It’s A Life Changing Experience

Without caring mentors, positive youth development just doesn’t happen. At The First Tee, we take coaching seriously. We believe that a meaningful, quality relationship between coach and participant is vital to our program.

Developed with input from leading experts in the field of positive youth development, the First Tee program focuses on empowering participants through decision-making and exploring options. This helps foster positive relationships between coaches and young people, inspiring the golfers of tomorrow to look to the future, set goals, and unlock their potential.

We need volunteer coaches to bridge the gap between the Lead Instructor and the students to help facilitate the lesson so that each class has the MOST impact on every one of our students.  First Tee is different because of the low PLAYer to student ratio that exists because of our wonderful volunteer coaches.  Our chapter relies on volunteers to accomplish our mission, but not all of those goals involve golf. Our chapter needs support off the course as well!  Our Volunteer Opportunities include:

  • Assistant Golf and Life Skills Coach
  • Fundraising
  • Special Events
  • Operations
  • Facility Maintenance
  • Mentoring/Tutoring
  • Data Entry

By contributing your time and talent, you can directly make an impact in a child’s life.
